Beyonce 2/ ビヨンセ２

So that was a long intermission...it`s been almost 3months since part 1.

It`s been such a long time that I just bought a DVD of this concert... Held in Encore Theater in Las Vegas. The stage was a lot smaller, this theater has less than 1,500 seats compared to approx 1million of the stage I went to. (Their ticket cost 5 times more for the ultimate experience... )

The DVD was great! Extremely intimate, the first part was ballad and second part was `sasha fierce` with the story of Beonce`s career. With jazzy band and tap dances, it almost seemed like a broadway show in the size of off broadway.

The Japan tour was completely different. Lot more people, a lot more wild, standing seats, more `Live`. It`s difficult to explain the whole thing, but again, it was a whole lotta dancing for everyone. The costumes were great as her past show, her in a wedding dress-ish costume almost brought me to tears... She was so beautiful! Her Michael Jackson tribute, singing to him in `Halo` was also touching.

I wasn`t close to the main stage, but was right in front of this substage which was like an island with a walk connecting to it. In a part of the show, B came on this island and sang a couple of songs, practically right in front of our group! Needless to say, it was my favorite part of the show... but I was so excited and screaming hysterically that half of the memory is gone!

I wished that the show go on forever, but I guess it`s beautiful because there is an end. It was over in a flash but I was excited all the way back home, and I had another Beyonce session with my CDs at home.

Another thing is that I was more active on `mixi`, the big Japan SNS site. I am in the `Beyonce` community, and everyone was so hyped about the concert and were sharing experiences. It was so crazily fun! I don`t have a friend close to me who likes B as much as I do, and sharing experiences makes things so much happier : ) Which was actually a great learning for me.

Also attached is the gifts that came with our Special seats... I am using the thermo mug in the office. Ohh the memories...

I wish I had better language skills to share the excitement, but this is the best I can do for now.

ちょっと長めの休憩時間になってしまいました。。。パート１から約3ヶ月。

あまりに長く待ちすぎて、コンサートのDVDが発売になってしまいました。。。DVDはラスベガスのアンコール・シアターで行われたもの。ステージは日本の1万人収容のさいたまアリーナに比べて、1500人以下と言う小さいステージです。ビヨンセにより近い！と言う事で、チケットは私の買ったものの5倍するんですけどね。。。（日本のも十分高いです。）

早速見ましたが、DVD良かった！第1部はバラードで第2部は踊って歌える感じ。第2部はビヨンセが自分のキャリアを語りながら、その時々のヒットソングを歌うんです。ビッグバンドっぽい音だったり、タップダンスが途中で入ったりと、コンサートやライブと言うよりはオフ・ブロードウェーサイズのブロードウェー・ショーみたいでした。日本のはそれに比べて、人数ももちろん多いし、ワイルドでした。みんなスタンディングで「ライブ！」って感じ。言葉でこの経験を表すのは難しいのですが、とりあえずみんなノリノリで踊ってました。（笑）

コスチュームもちょっと奇抜だったりしますが、バラエティーに富んでて。ちょうど結婚したばかりのビヨンセのウェディングっぽいコスチュームには、親心が出て（？）涙が・・・。歌ももちろんパワフルで楽しかったです！話題になっているマイケル・トリビュートはちょこっとギターでマイケルの歌を入れたり、「HALO」と言う歌にマイケルの名前を引用して「マイケル、私達はあなたのパワーを感じてるわ。それは絶対無くならない」的な歌詞を歌っていました。正面のフロントステージはそんなに近くは無かったのですが、パート１でも書いた、チケットを取って下さった方のパワーにより、サブステージはまん前でした！メインステージからパリコレっぽいウォークがつながっている小さな島みたいな感じなのですが、ショーの一部でビヨンセ様がそこまで来てくれて！！もう本当に目の前！！もう何ヶ月も前なのに、思い出すと興奮・・・！！（笑）

もう色んな感情と感想がごちゃまぜで、半分覚えておりません。（笑）写真もOKだったのですが、念入りに2・3枚撮って、後はずっと見てました。（叫んでたに近い。）写真が撮れること自体、確かにレアだけど、あんなに近くで裸眼で見ないのもったいないよ～～。焼き付けました！

そんな楽しい時間はあっと言う間に終わり・・・。でも帰りの電車でも興奮冷めやらず、お家に帰ってもCDでお家ライブでした♪♪

そして、ライブのあった2日間、今までに無いほどmixi見ました・・・。ビヨンセコミュニティーに入っているのですが、みんなのコメントや感想で楽しさが倍増！周りにビヨンセ好きがそんなに居ないので、同じイベントでこんなに語れるのって楽しい～♪と発見でした。おかしい？

Beyonce 1/ビヨンセ１

I went to Beyonce`s concert last Saturday! (Oct 17th)

It was super duper fun, I was pretty much singing, yelling, dancing througout the 2 hours of this dream-like time. May be it was the first time to be at a concert of an artist that I like so much. (Now that Janet changed her mind from postponing to canceling her concert in Japan... too bad.)

It was a bit difficult to get the ticket but thanks to my kind friend who I only casually knew from my last work, I was able to snatch a ticket.

My friend and I went 1.5 hours before the concert started, I bought a pamphlet and a t-shirt w/concert dates. There were 3 types of shirts, but my choice was dark gray w/`sasha fierce` on a motorcycle.

Many of the people at the concert seemed to be in late 30-ish or older, which was a bit surprising to me... Most of them seemed very laid back, concervative, you`d think you were at a Celine Dion concert. and may be 10% of people were in tight skirts, crazy hair, animal prints. Agghh, may be I am at a right place.

The concert started 2o minutes late, so we waited for about 2 hours,but I was so excited it passed like it was just minutes!

先週土曜（10月17日）ビヨンセコンサート行ってきました！

もう相当楽しかった～☆歌って、叫んで、踊りっぱなしの2時間でした。夢みたいだった！（笑）これくらい好きなアーティストのコンサートって実は始めてかも？ジャネットは延期から中止になってしまい、来日無くなっちゃったし・・・。

ちょっと出遅れちゃって、良い席のチケットゲットが絶望的だと思っていたところ、前の会社で知り合ったお取引先で、いつの間にかメル友にならせていただいている方がコマメにチェックしてくださり、しかもちょうど外出していた私の代わりにチケットを買ってくれたのです！！感謝感激☆☆☆

開始の1時間半には埼玉スーパーアリーナに到着。早速列に並び、パンフレット（でかい。A3くらいある）とツアー日程入りT-シャツをゲット。そしてコンサートボード的な物と記念撮影♪

お客さんたちの年齢層は30後半以上が大半で、チノパンとカーディガンまたはチェックシャツ的なわりと大人しめな方多し。本当にここで良いんだっけ？と思うくらいでした。そのうち10％くらいがタイトなボディコンだったり、ヒョウ柄だったり、髪がワイルドだったりして、「あ～。ちゃんとビヨンセよね？」と安心。

結局20分押して開始したため、（多分オフィシャルな開始時間はこっち）2時間くらい待ちましたが、テンションマックスだったので、何分かにしか感じませんでした。

さて、実際のコンサートの様子は「ビヨンセ２」で。（笑）

Kindle/キンドル

I don`t know how new this device is in US/Europe,but it seems that a new machine has/is coming out!

It`s called Kindle and is a portable reading device. It seems very convenient, slim, light, variety of books in 60 sec,and is cheaper than actually purchasing a book.(it gotta be tough on the paper industry though...)

It seems fantastic! ... And now you can buy it outside of US!

I`ve been reading a lot lately and w/the time, effort & moneyit cost for me to buy an English book, this may be a good thing to be on my Christmas list! : )

キンドル

アマゾンで新しいメカ発見！

キンドルと言う、持ち運びできる「デジタル本」っぽいです。

軽く、薄く、容量も大きめ、60秒でいつでも好きな本をダウンロード！他にも辞書機能がついていたり、わりと賢いらしい。

携帯等の画面で本を読むのはちょっと抵抗があったのですがこれは画面が「紙っぽく」見えるらしく、反射も少ないとか。そして文字サイズも変えられるので、自分の好みで読める！

アマゾンを見ると「１」もあって、これは「バージョン２」なようなのですが、日本でも近々入荷するようです。今のところ洋書のみ対応ですが、日本語もきっとすぐ出そう？

あまりメカ派では無いですが、すごくコンパクトで、使いやすそうで、シンプルで、最近本を読みたい欲求が強いので魅力的でした♪

ついでに3万円くらいです。クリスマスプレゼント？

ねずみー/Disney Halloween

うふ。ディズニーハロウィン行っちゃいました！

１３時間朝から晩まで歩きっぱなし。ご飯以外はぐるぐる、ぐるぐる。

乗り物もがんがん乗ったし、良いタイミングで並ばずパレードも見たし。かなり満喫。

ハローウィン限定の花火が天候のため見れなかったのがちょっと残念だったけど。あれだけ遊べればOKでしょう。楽しかったわ～♪

双子と行くと本当にうまく時間も順番も回れるので楽しい。つい調子にのって、いっぱいいっぱい詰め込むので次の日は結構辛いけど・・・。でも遊びきるから楽しいわ！！

Assistant Girls/アシスタントｓ

The other day when I went to work there my e-mail inbox was full that I thought something broke!
Turns out that it was the network of Assistant girls from all over the world exchanging info... it was the first time in 1.5 years that I`m working for this company, but it was pretty cool.
They were everywhere, you name a country, here`s her e-mail! It was very interesting to see what other work they did, sometimes they were secretaries for more than 2 bosses, sometimes they carried a different project... and they all pasted pictures of their countries and what it looked like outside of their office window.
It was very neat and I was very proud to be a part of this global company.
of couse, at the end all the e-mails turned out tobe gossip of available single men in each CBU, but I guess all girls gotta think about that, huh.

朝、会社に行ったら「壊れた？」と思うくらいメールボックスがいっぱいになってました！未読のメールがこんなにいっぱい・・・。何事？と思ったら、私と同じポジションで働く世界中の女性から、情報シェアのメールでした。
「こんな国もあったのか～」と思うくらい各国からのメール。その子たちがみんな同じような仕事してるのね。と思ったらかなり感慨深い。メール読んでると仕事の内容もさまざまで国の雰囲気もわかって面白い。そして「今外はこんな感じ！」とオフィスからの風景が添付されてたり。世界旅行のようでした。本当に不思議。
グローバル企業で働いてるのね。私。とつい思ってしまいました。（笑）
最後は「良い独身男性いない？」とお見合いサイトみたいなメールのやり取りになっていて、どこの国も同じね・・・。と思いましたが。海外にも居ないのか。。。

美食の会/The gourmet club

３ヶ月に１回、以前働いていた会社のラブリーな３人の女性と私が主なメンバーで開催される「美食の会」。結構性格の違う独特の（？）４人なので、いつも面白いのですが。
今回はスペイン料理に行ってきました。スペイン大好きなチャーミングなSさんの一押し！予約が取り辛いと言う小さなスペースを２ヶ月以上前に予約して（みんなが多忙すぎて、召集かけてから実際に会える日が２ヶ月後だったのもあるけど・・・。）行ってきました！
恵比寿のTIO　DANJO。１Fはバーで２Fがレストラン。入ってみるとこじんまりなスペースでした。あまり料理の説明って上手じゃないんだけど・・・。すべてがとってもおいしかった！タパスは量が多めなので、パエリアを食べるならば、少なめに。そしてパエリアは食べるべき！！恵比寿周辺のかたがた、ぜひ行ってみてください。
サービスも口コミでは色々書いてありましたが、とっても良かったです。ちょっと怖そうな女性がサーバーなのですが、この方の良く気づくこと！タイミング完璧！ぜひまた行きたいです。
あ。行くときは色々食べれるように、４人以上で行くことをオススメします♪

The Gourmet club had an awesome time at a Spanish restaurant in Ebisu!
It was a tiny restaurant that one of the girls who loves everything Spain recommended us. The food was fantastic, the scary-ish server lady was actually awesome, and we had a blast!
if you are in japan and for some reason craving spanish food,we`ll go! give me a call :)

Jake!/ジェイク！

Went to Jake`s concert the frist day of Silver week! (5 day weekend in Japan that comes once in six years!)

Ukulele concert for 2.5 hours w/out break was hot! You`d never guess ukulele could be so wild.

But the artist, Jake Shimabukuro is such a sweetheart... his MC is pretty cute.

I went with a lady from work who loves him and personally don`t own his CDs... but I think it might be time to do so:) `Piano Sonata` is my favorite.

シルバーウィークの１日目にジェイクのコンサート行ってきました！

２時間半、休憩無し！今回はバンドも入らず、ずっと弾きっぱなし。疲れたでしょう・・・。

でも相変わらずMCがキュート！「サイドウェイ」の映画の音楽もやるからか、今年は昨年にくらべて、ぐっと客層が広かったけど、相変わらずおば様達の熱い声援が・・・。

そして、今回はビデオをバックに流すと言う新しい試み。私はせっかくの演奏から気が散っちゃったから、ずっとじゃなくて時々で良いなあ。と思いましたが。

でもホットなウクレレ。実はCDは未購入なのですが、お給料も入ったし、買っちゃおうかな？

最初の練習はまあまあ。男子が上手いのですよ～。

後輩に「運動できないと思ってました」と謝られました。（笑）

いえ、そんなにできるわけでは無いです。全く。

フリマ/flea market

初フリマ無事終わりました！

ちょっとずつ「これは出そう」と言うものはまとめていたのですが 前日に金額を書いたり色々していたら、時間がかかり 結局睡眠時間は3時間・・・。


そんな朦朧とした状態で、早朝から会場へ。 一緒に手伝ってくれる予定の母と妹に直前にフラれ、 恐ろしい量の荷物を持たなくてはいけず、泣きそうでした。 荷物が重すぎて（そしてタクシーが1台も通ってくれなくて） 時間がかかり、着いたときにはもうすでに、お客さんの列が・・・。 始まったとたんに凄い人でした。 すべて並べ終わって無かったのですが、 「かばんは無いの？」等、名指しで色んな物が飛ぶように売れ・・・。 恐るべしフリマ。 てんやわんやな事もあり、寝不足もあり、現実味があまり無く。 「ホントにやったっけ？夢？」と思うくらい、あっと言うまに終わりました。


でも初めてにしては、良い感じだったかな？ 色んな人と話が出来て楽しかった。 買ってくれた物、大事にたくさん使ってもらえると良いな！ 当日は夏に逆戻りなような天気で、屋上でのフリマはホット☆でしたよ。 めちゃくちゃ日に焼けました。 腕の一部、首の一部と鼻が。 首は当日どんな服を着ていたかが、一目瞭然な焼け方です。（笑）

My very first flea market experience was a success!


I was up till 5AM still putting stuff out of closets... see what careful planning do to me, huh.


The shoppers were in a long line by the time I hauled all my junk to the site... and they swarmed me as it started. I didn`t even have everything out!


My stuff sold pretty well, and I got nice comments from the shoppers. Yeah! It was fun interacting with different people, young and old.


I got sunburnt... I haven`t been so burnt since like... highschool! you can see exactly what shape of shirt I was wearing!

9月の私/September

すっかり秋ですね！
秋大好きなので、外に出てちょっと冷たくなった風に当たると、俄然テンションが上がります♪理由も無くうれしい～☆スキップしちゃう。（笑）

さて。今月の私。

１．髪切ります：　ちょっとだけですが。3ヶ月に1回行ってます。パーマ＆カラーし過ぎて、痛んでたのが、ちょっとはキレイになってきた♪久しぶりのロングストレートです。

２．FUTSALに参加：　会社で有一あるクラブ？がフットサルなんです。サッカーの少人数版？人生初体験ですが、誘ってもらったので1回行ってみてきます。

３．飲み会多し：食欲の秋なのか、なんだか色々な「会」がこぞって開催されます。ハイライトはなかなか一緒に飲めない社内の人たちと飲む「ホッピーの会」と前の会社のラブリーな女子3名に囲まれて幸せな美食の会。（今回はスペイン料理！）

４．フリマ参加：とにかく物が多い私の部屋。今コンパクト化が進んでます。なかなか捨てられないんだよね・・・。でもちょっとパワー復活したし、新しいことにチャレンジです。はたして売れるのか・・・。

５．ジェイクコンサート：会社の先輩に誘っていただいてジェイク・シマブクロさんのコンサートに行ってきます。昨年、その方が急に行けなくなったチケットを当日頂いて、行ったのが始まり。今年は一緒に行きます。トークが楽しい素敵な人だったので楽しみ！

６．連休ですね：連休ですが、人ごみが大の苦手な私は田舎に帰ります・・・。せっかく秋だし、天候を楽しみながら山梨の山を走ってみようかなと。勝間和代さんおススメの「人生戦略」も課題本として残ってるので読む予定。（所々質問形式になってて、電車の中とかでは読めない内容なの。）

秋だから？何となく本が読みたいです。あ、ドラクエ9もゆっくりながら着々と進んでます！最終パーティーをどんな職業にしようか迷い中～。そしてディズニーハロウィンが始まったので、また双子と遊びに行こうと企んでます。

9月もあっと言う間に終わりそうです。

It`s beautiful out!Fall is my absolute favorite season, I just love it!

Though it really can`t be September already... How days fly.

Here`s what`s up with me this month:

1. Hair cut: Just a trim, but it`s always fun.My hair was abused by constant coloring & perms it was badly damaged... But now doing better with constant trims and a new stylist.

2. Going to Futsal: I didn`t even know what futsal actually is. But futsal is the only sport that our company has a `club` for. I guess it won`t hurt to give it a try.

3. Many outings: I don`t know what`s up, but there are whole lotta dinner plans. Some highlights are `Hoppy Club` (hoppy is where you mix japanese sake w/beer flavoring. It sounds gross but it`s not that bad) and `The Gourmet club` where me and 3 girls from my past work (now all working at different companies) go out and have something good to eat. it`s spanish night this month. can`t wait!

4. Flea market: I`ve went but never participated in a flea market... till Sept 13th! This will be my first debut. I don`t know if my junk will sell, but you all know that I have plenty... and some cash in return won`t hurt.

5. Jake concert: I`m going to a Ukulele (sp?) concert with a coworker. Of Jake Shimabukuro, from Hawaii. I got the ticket from this coworker last year the day of the concert becuase she suddenly couldn`t make it, and we`ve been kinda talking about it ever since we`re going together this time.

6. Silver week: There`s Golden week in May where there are consequtive holidays. This year somehow happened again in September and the media`s calling it silver week... (no, really.) I`m excited about the days off, but I just cannot stand crowds.... (and there are people swarming in any and all tourist spots during this season) So most likely I will go back home, do some running, reading, and relax.

It`s such a perfect weather for curling up with a book and cup of hot tea, I want to read so much! Any good books?

Also, Disney Halloween is starting on the 10th... I`ve been there with my twin for 2 years in a row (since I`ve known her)and definately going there this year again. so that`s in planning.

Hmph. A lot coming up to think about it...

Marathon/マラソン

I am so excited about my new challenge, I have been telling anyone I tell... So you may have heard, but I started running.

This is such a tremendous deal because all people who knows me will confirm that I am not athletic. And in general I never liked to run. Gym was my absolutely worst subject.

There are two reasons I wanted to start to run. To have more endurance and to run the Tanzawako lake marathon.

I don`t know if I don`t have enough exercise or I`m just plain getting old, but I get tired easily, and I`m tired of being so. But no overwork. I promise!

Another and more the main reason is the Tanzawako lake marathon. It`s a marathon where you run around a lake in the mountains when the leaves are turning color... pictures of the event is absolutely gorgeous! I helped my boss make an entry last year, and that`s when I decided I will go for it this year.

For practice, I`ve made an entry to run a marathon end of October. 5km so it`s not that long, but still a big step for me.

I`ve been running 1 to 2 times a week, about 30 minutes a day. I know it`s not a whole lot, but be easy on the beginner : )

自分にとってもびっくりニュースですが、ランニング始めました！

私、本当に小さい頃から運動が苦手なんです。体育の成績は最悪だった・・・。そんな私が走ろうと思うことすら、今でも信じられません。（笑）

でも最近体力落ちたなあ。って思うのと（年？）走りたいマラソンがあって、トレーニング始めました！

走りたいのは「丹沢湖マラソン」。昨年上司のエントリーをしてあげたのが知ったきっかけなのですが。山の中の湖の周りを紅葉が美しい１１月に走るの！イベントサイトに写真が出てたのですが、本当に美しい！これは走ってみたい～。と思ってから、2009年の目標なのです。

そもそも自分がどれくらい走れるか分からないので、そんなに長い距離は走れないと思いますが、とりあえず練習開始。1週間に１～2回、30分くらい走ってます。わりと走れることにびっくり。それだけで、もうかなり嬉しい。

ちょっと調子に乗りつつ、腕試しに10月に5キロのマラソンにエントリーしてしまいました。ドキドキ・・・。

Half Blood Prince/ハリーポッター

It might sound corny but I have read every single Harry books and been watching all its movies.

I just watched the 6th one... and LOVED IT!

the story itself is rather depressing and just `not-happy`, but it was sprinkled with humor and romance,it was a good balance.

Storywise I like the 1st and the 4th one, but as a movie, I might like this one the best so far!!

I also love to see the actors, see them grow so muchin each film. They are sooo much older now!! Seeing them so big and acting maturely just makes me excited and get into the story even more...

I have been resisiting to buying any of the DVDs in the series... I am very patiently waiting for a box set to come out. well, i have couple more years to wait!

大学の頃にハリー大好きな友達に影響されてから本も全部読んだし、映画も全部見てます！ 今回のは全7作の6作目。そろそろクライマックスです。

わりとダークな展開で、本もちょっと暗め。映画ももちろん同じ内容なんだけど、 今回はコミックリリーフもいっぱい入ってたり、ロマンス要素が強調されてて、見やすく、 とても良かった！！！

ストーリーとしては、今までだと1と4が好きだったんだけど、 映画としては今回のかなりポイント高い！！

ま、見てる私の気分もあると思うんだけど。（元も子も無い・・・？）

そしてストーリー自体もそうなんだけど、出てる役者さんたちの成長に毎回目を奪われます。 本当にみんな小さかったのにねぇ。。。（笑）もう大きくなって、立派に一人前の役者さんだわ！ と思いつつ見てると、感動も倍増されるのかも。 もうずっと見てたい気になります。

DVD欲しい～。けど全作出て、ボックスになるまで待つのだ！！！

ボルト/Bolt

ボルト見ました。

かわいかった～！！

みんな最後の場面で泣いてたけど（ねたバレ無し！） 私はむしろ始めの方で、ボルトがひたむきに純粋に 飼い主の女の子が大好きで、心から守ろうとしている姿に うるっと来ました。

グッズもかわいいのよね・・・。 キャラグッズはもう卒業。と思いつつ見ると欲しくなる・・・。

日食/Solar Eclipse

日食見ました。 写真ほど完全に隠れてなかったけど。

小学校の頃にアメリカで一回あって、 全校生徒が外に出て観察したのを思い出しました。

I remember in LeMars Elementary schoolit happened when I was there... All the kids went out and observed the process... it was very exciting to be out of class with friendsobserving the planets move.

レコーディングダイエット/Recording Diet

現在進行中です。

本日101日目。

レコーディングダイエットとは文字通り書いた事を全てレコード（書き出す、記録する）ダイエット。

毎日の体重、体脂肪率、体脂肪重量（体重ｘ体脂肪率）、そしてその日食べたものを、すべて書き出すのです。

一番考え方として近いのは結局はカロリー計算なんだけど。色々試したけど、書くのが好きな私には結構あってるみたい。

101日目にしてスタート時点から3キロ減りました。リバウンドしない為には、ちょうど良いペースかな。

ちょっとここ最近停滞気味なのが気になるけど。本によるとそう言うタイミングなようなので。（本とそれに対応するノートがある。）

目標は後1.5キロ減。

頑張ります！！

I have been having bad eating habits and it hasn`t been so healthy... so I`ve started a diet!

It`s called a recording diet and you record every single thing you eat... Including that 1 chip that you ateoff of your brothers bag of chips... (which ends up being half a bag)

It`s really calorie calculation but writing downwhat you eat everyday makes you realizehow unbalanced your diet is...

I tend to be very low in veggies and protein. Bad.

I`ve never lasted a week on a diet, but since I love writing this one is going pretty well.

I have 1.5kg more to lose for my ideal weight.

双子と誕生日/Birthday w/my twin

これもしばらく前の話ですが。

前の会社で一緒に働いていた子がたまたま生年月日が一緒！

それが分かってから「双子」と呼びつつ 会社が変わってからも1ヶ月に最低1回は会っています。

そんな双子とお誕生日パーティーしました！

二人とも朝が弱いので、お昼くらいに会って、 まずはセルリアンでちょっとゴージャスにコースランチ。
うま～い♪♪

その後はぷらぷら散歩したりしつつお互いのプレゼントや夜ご飯を購入。

その後、家に戻って買ってきたワイン、パン、チーズ、おかず等を食べつつおしゃべり・・・。 結局寝たのは深夜。（朝？）

うーん。かなり楽しかった。

ふたご、いつもありがとう。これからもよろしくね！

I have a friend who has the exact same birthday as me.
(Another one in the US too, Michelle, but she`s 1 year younger.but I still love you mish!)

So there was absolutely no reason to have a birthday party together... and that`s what we did.

We met around noon, went to this hotel for a fancy lunch. The food and presentation were great, and not as expensive as dinner.

We walked around, bought each other presentsand bought wine and cheese for dinner.... Then went to my house, spent hours having them...

Needless to say, the sleepover was extremely fun.

I love you twin!

食器/China

友人の結婚プレゼントに本人希望の食器を買いに行きました。

お店によっては店員さんの態度がイマイチで、「なにぃ～？」と 思ったりもしましたが、結果的に納得の行くプレゼントが買えて良かったです！ （海外に漆器を持って行く・送ろうとしているみなさま、
物によっては割れてしまうので、ちゃんと海外でも大丈夫なのを買いましょう～。笑）

結局は新宿伊勢丹が品揃えもサービスも良くって、感動。

モダンな食器も好きだけど、最近和風も好きな私。
色々見てて、自分も欲しくなりました。

引っ越しして、色々買いなおしたい。（どちらかと言うと、そっちがメイン？）
仕事とかで「むずかしい」と決めてしまっているけどアメリカに住みたい・・・。

I had a great time gift shopping for one of my friends getting married in Germany... She wanted a `Japan-ish China`, and it was so fun looking at them.

Majority of young people use modern chinas and I`m one of them, but looking at the classis japanese style chinas, I wanted them too!

107/大往生

The founder of the company I work for died on May 17th.
He was 107 years old.

I work for a food manufacturer promoting `health through food`.
He was very active and accomplished a lot,
and seemed to have been a happy man, liked by many.

I hear that he was still running around till very close to his death...
I don`t know much about him, but hearing his stories
makes me very happy that someone had such a full life.

会社の創立者が5月17日に107歳で亡くなりました。

健康を推進する食品会社で働いているのですが
まさにそのコンセプトを体現？？？

本当に行動的で、亡くなる寸前まで走り回っていたようです。
もちろん、そんなに知ってる人なわけじゃないけど、なんか良いなあ。

こんなにめいっぱい色々やれたら、満足でしょう。
好かれてた人みたいだし、幸せだったんだろうなあ。と。

そんな詳しく知ってるわけじゃないから、軽はずみなコメントかもだけど、
亡くなった時に、いろんな所から追悼メールとかが来てるのを見て、
こんだけ色んな人が働いて熱意を抱く場所を創った方で、
去っていったら、その人たちが悲しむって、規模が大きいのに
つながってて良いなあ。と思いました。

なんか「人生楽しかった！」って思って亡くなったんじゃないかな。
規模は小さくても私もそう思いたいです。

Volleyball/バレーボール

I don`t watch much of sports, but when it comes to volleyball, I try not to miss a game.I am only interested in the Nation team for girlsand I don`t follow every little local games in the usual league ...(My brother calls me a `wanna-be fan` but so what?)

I got into it about 3 years ago, the powerful girls were awfully inspiring,and the drama in and out of the court is very curious.

The tournament held in August, Japan made it to the finalsbut were in last place.

But they are getting better!

観戦始めたのは3年前くらい。今年は見に行くぞ！と思ったら出遅れて8月のトーナメントチケットはすでに完売・・・。

次は応援に行きたいです！

冒険の日々・DRAGON QUEST

ドラゴンクエストIX!!!!

しばらく我慢してたのですが、部署内に4人も新入社員がってきて早く帰れるようになったので、ついに買っちゃいました！

そんなにゲーマーでは無い上、実はドラクエは 天空シリーズ（III～V?)しかやったこと無いので、最新のゲーム技術に着いてけるか心配ですが かなり楽しみっ！！！

今日貸してたDSが返ってくるので実はまだプレーして ないのですが。

ガイドブックを買って（邪道？）読んでたりするのでとにかく始めたい～！！

会社の友達と「気になるね！」と言っていて同時スタートの予定です。うわ～。つい夢中になりそう・・・。

一応社会人だし、睡眠時間はちゃんと確保しようと思います♪（笑）

I`m not much of a game player, but I just bought a game that I can`t wait to play.

It`s a RPG game called Dragon Quest, otherwise known as Dragon Warrior in North America.(some copyright issue)

It`s a very popular game in Japan that 3.5million people are playing it in Japan...which seems pretty crazy.

It`s a series and this is the 9th one.I think there`s couple of divisions within the series and I`ve only played 3-5 of the series...

The games are so high tech now I don`t know if I can actualy work the game,but somehow I am having this game craze that I`m sure this will be my favorite pass time for quite awhile.

I`m starting the game on the same day as one of my colleages, it`ll be a fun competition.

I`m rending my DS to another friend (I think I`ve used it only once or twice...)and getting it back sometime this week.

Can`t wait to play : )

Blossom/シャクハク

シャクハクと言ってる時点で、8月の話ではないだろう。と言う感じですが。
（たまってたトピックを書き出し中。）

時々部屋に花を飾るのですが、

どうしてもサービスブーケで通年ある
お花が入っているブーケを買いがち。

でもたまたまデパートの花屋さんで、

旬のシャクハクが入荷したばかりで売られていて、「旬の花」なお店のアピールにも惹かれ、買ってみました。

その季節に咲く花を飾る。

なんか当たり前だけど、庭があるわけでは無いし、ちょっと忘れがち。

ちょっとずつ咲くシャクハクと季節を感じて、

幸せな期間でした。

I tend to go for a more reasonable all year bouquets such as garbella and spray roses, and they are beautiful, but it was nice to have something `in season` and `in tune with nature` once in a while :)

He`s just not that into you/そんな彼なら捨てちゃえば？

I first encountered this book by a recommendation from a　friend.

I had a biggest crush of the century, and I was going out with my crush, but the relationship wasn`t going too well.

It was just like the book... I was writing all my girls what was going on. `he said that`, `he didn`t call`, `but he did call`...

And one day one of my dear friend Cristen, recomended me a book. yes, the one called `he`s just not that into you`

I was so lost, and it didn`t sound too encouraging to read a book by that title at that time. So even though I had it `noted` in one of my `want to read` list, it was not read then.

Well, not till now, after eventually getting dumped by the dream man since I `reminded him of old sad memories`, (Goodness, am I quoting the book or what?) going through few frivolous relationships trying to get over him, and finally calming down and starting to go out with the current boyfriend, have I finally picked up the book and read it.

And it was book of wisdom!!
OK, I might sound silly totally praising this relationship book, but as you can guess it was filled with all the things he have said, all the things he did.... I was so laughing through the book.

But I guess liking someone so much that you can`t is the fun part of dating! :)
Yes, it was extremely heartbreaking when it was over, but I had a great time when I was in it, and I learned so much!

So anyway, the movie came out on Aug 1st in Japan.
I was curious how they made the movie... and I somehow ended up watching the first show the day it came out.
The movie started around 10AM, but there were girls filling every single seat... I guess relationships are an eternal topic to all girls all ages!

The movie? it was okay. It was cute.
But the end concept was almost the opposite of the book...
The book kept pressing to not read behind the lines that a guy isn`t pursuing you.
It means he`s not in love with you and there`s hardly ever an exception to the rule.
Well, the movie did have sprinkles of that concept,
but in the end, the exception happens and it`s a happy ending.

I guess it would be totally helpless and sad if this movie wasn`t a happy ending, but wasn`t noticing and accepting the most likely fact that this relationship isn`t going anywhereand moving on the whole point of this book/story?

.... Oh well!! : )

「そんな彼なら捨てちゃえば」（すごいタイトル）の映画見てきました！

もともとは割と前からある本なのですが、昔これを友達が進めてくれて、 映画と同時に本もリニューアルされていたらしく、店頭にいっぱい並んでいたのを見て 本も映画を見る前に読みました。

本は男性の行動に一喜一憂する女性が「これってどうなの？好きなの嫌いなの？」と言うのを
著者のグレッグにぶつけるもの。 グレッグは大抵「そんな風くらいにしかしてくれないなら、彼はそんなに好きじゃないんだよ」と 女性に言うのですが、確かに客観的に見たらそう思うコトが多い。
でも恋してたら、自分も信じたくなっちゃうし、「どうなの？」って思っちゃうコトが多くて 思わず笑っちゃいます。

個人的にはもうちょっと早く読んどいたら良かったなあ。なんて（笑）

映画はキャストが豪華で典型的な`chick flick`（女性向きの映画）ですが、かわいかったですよ。
ただ、本では「もういい加減、あきらめて次探しなさい！」と言う感じなのですが
映画は「でも、たまにこう言う事もあるよ！」とうまく行くケースを見せてしまっているので
本とは根本的に言ってる事が違うじゃん！って思ってしまいます。
ま、これでハッピーエンドじゃ無かったら無かったで、ちょっとさびしいけどさ。

でも、スマステーションの「月一五郎」で（活字で書くとこの表記であってるのかな？）
映画の日本語タイトルは「強い女性」をすごい表してるって言ってたの。
確かに本の内容を考えても、このタイトルだったら、このハッピーエンディングでも教訓は生きてると思う。
（英語名はほ本のままなんだけど・・・。）
つい、「そうだな～。」と不覚にも？ごろうちゃんコメントに納得していましました。

Lost in Translation/字幕コンクール

昨年から神田語学学校の字幕コンクールに応募しています。
今年も締め切り間近でチャレンジしてみました。

選んであるシーンが絶妙。
やるな。戸田奈津子。（笑）

結果はともあれ、このごろ英語を使う・考える機会が激減してるので
良い機会になりました。

・・・にしても、このコンクールのサイト、あなどれん！
説明も丁寧、応募ページもハイテクで感動します。

「ナイトミュージアム２」、続編はあまり興味無かったけど
ちょっと見に行きたくなってきたな～。

I`ve been entering the `subtitle contest` for two years now.

There are 3 scened that you can apply. You choose the scene, look at it in the original language (in this case English) and create Japanese subtitles.
August 12th was the deadline for this year, so I`ve done the homework and just finished entering!

You apply through a website but this site is pretty nifty. When you enter the japanese, it is automatically reflected in the movie at the bottom, so it`s like seeing your subtitles in the actual film!

It was fun playing around with language ; )

Baby Sign ベビーサイン

仕事で「ベビーサイン」の教室の見学に行ってきました。

「なになに？」と思っていたのですが、なんと赤ちゃん用の手話！6ヶ月から1歳半の赤ちゃんに、歌や絵本と一緒に動作をすると２～３ヶ月で覚えて、手話をし始めるそう。

なんだか凄くないですか！！：）

まだ言葉が話せない赤ちゃんと意思相通ができるの！

それでも「日本のサイン」と「アメリカのサイン」とすでにパターン分けされていて、バベルの塔は高かったな。と思わずにはいられないのでした。

I visited a `Baby Sign` class the other day for work... I didn`t have a clue what this was, may be it`s popular more in the west, or maybe it`s me... But it`s sign language for babies!

You can start around 6 months till about 1 and 1/2yrs old (by then they start talking), you sign along with songs and books. They learn to sign in 2 to 3 months!

Isn`t that just amazing?

You can communicate with babies who don`t talk yet!

The interesting or rather unfortunate thing was that there already is `Japanese sign` and `English sign` already different at this stage. Sure there may be culture differences, but isn`t that a bit sad the difference already exists this young?

My top 5 Strength ☆私の「才能」トップ５！

It was a long weekend in Japan called Golden Week, the first week of May. One of the homeworks I had for myself during that break was to read this book called `Now, Find Your Strength` by Marcus Buckingham and Donald O. Clifton.

It`s a book on finding out and building on your strength. Each book has an ID number which allows you to take a test, and the result will tell you your top 5 strength out of 34.
I found out about this book through another book I was reading and was curious...and here`s my top 5 strength.

1. Learner
2. Achiever
3. Harmony
4. Intellect
5. Developer

I`ve pasted the details below, but I think these describes me pretty well. I guess these are the main characteristics that I have that comes out everytime I think or make decisions... So I need to know that I do think this way and maximize it`s traits. Hmmmm.

ゴールデンウィークに読もう！と思っていた課題本があったのですが、読みました！ マーカス・バッキングハムさんとドナルドO.クリフトンの 「さあ、才能（自分）に目覚めよう－あなたの５つの強みを見出し、活かす」と言う タイトルの本です。 最近、勝間和代さんの本を良く読むのですが、勝間さんのおススメ本なのです。

タイトルのままですが、自分の強みを見つけて活かす方法について書かれています。 1冊づつに、ｺｰﾄﾞがあり、それを使ってウェブでテストを受けることができます。 そして、結果的に34個ある「強み」から自分のトップ５が分かるのです。

そんな訳で私のトップ５：

１． 学習欲
２． 達成欲
３． 調和性
４． 内省
５． 成長促進

英語ですが、詳細も下につけました。（長いですが・・・。）
読んでみると、確かに当てはまる気がする・・・。
本によると、これらが自分の主な思考回路となっているようです。
「こういう風に考えてるんだ」と言うことを頭に置き、 それを意識して、仕事なりなんなりを効率的＆得意な方法で自分なりに進めていく。 うーん。私のを見ると、「毎日目標を立てる」とか？

I put in my precious weekend hours to work at the Maternity&Baby Fiesta this Sat and Sun!

I worked at one of the booth to hand our products...So many cute pregnant women and babies!!!It was incredibly fun.

It happened to be Mother`s Day on Sunday, thank you for all the wonderful mothers working hard!! :)

週末、東京ビックサイトで行われたマタニティー＆ベビーフェスタに

参加してきました！

たくさんあるブースの一つで商品サンプルを配ってきました。

妊婦さんやベビーがいっぱいで可愛かった！！

恐らくあまり私と年も違わない新米パパとママを見てるのは

楽しく、ちょっと不思議でした。

日曜日は母の日だったので、「初めての母の日」の方も
いっぱい居たはず。お母さんは大変です。いつもありがとう！

1st Post! ブログ第1号

Welcome to Mizuka`s Notes!

This is a new attempt to share a bit of my life...
Many of you who knows me knows that I`m a note taker...
I have at least one notebook at all times, writing down anything
and everything that is curious to me...
Including new found birthdays, friend`s favorite food,
recommended books, and the cute outfit that I though looked great on you today.
So the blog gets it`s name, to share things that would be part of my entry.

I`m not a high tech girl, so I`m having trouble with
all the settings already... but I hope I`ll get used to it!

Since I have friends who reads Japanese and English,
the entries will be in two languages.
Some of the content won`t be exactly the translation,
because I think I use different words and phrases when
using the two languages...
So this is kind of interesting for me as well.

「mizuka`s notes」へようこそ！

大したものではないですが、生活の一部をおすそ分けしたいと始めました！

私と居ると時々目撃すると思いますが、常にノートを持ち歩き、人のお誕生日や、面白いと思ったコメントや
お勧めの本のタイトルなどを常に書き留めてます。
このブログのタイトルは、そんなノートの一部をおすそ分け。と言う意味でつけてみました。

あまりＰＣ等は得意じゃないので、もうこのブログ設定から かなり時間かかってますが・・・。 ちょっとずつ慣れるようがんばります☆

このブログを読んで欲しい方たちは、英語を読む人も日本語を読む人も いるので、ちょっと2ヶ国語で書いてみようかな。と思っています。

よく、英語を話している時と、日本語を話している時は、 声も、表情も、顔つきさえ違うと言われますが、 文章でもちょっとそうかも・・・。 そんな訳で直訳では無く、なんとなーくフィーリングで自分の使う言葉で 同じ内容について書いてみようと思います。 間違いもあると思いますが、寛大に見守ってください。（笑）
